In this complex world there are things that is still simple. The color of Diversity is one of them. Though many countries impose monolithic notions of “national unity”, there exist countries like India which has established diversity as its strength.

Cultural Diversity is not evangelized blindfolded. It is equally important that people around the world know and understand that the flip side of diversity is deep division and inequalities that exists ranging from trivial basis of age, gender, sexual orientation to most malicious system of them all, the caste system.

From an organization or community perspective, building cultural competence makes a difference by enhancing a sense of belonging within the community members which in turn increases engagement, knowledge share and open communication. In the bigger picture, awareness and acknowledgement of diversity binds people to work together on real challenges of world.

The growing worldwide acceptance of Cultural Diversity is driving people from all walks of life to step up, become participants, players, shapers and movers of a diverse yet united world.
