District Director’s Awards

Golden Gavel Award 2017-18

Top 10 clubs (based on points accumulated) will receive the Golden Gavel award at Oration 2018. Qualifying and winning criteria has been mentioned below.
  1. Club must conduct Moments of Truth (MOT) by 31st October 2017 and share report with PQD team within 7 days of conducting MOT module.
  2. Club must achieve 9/10 DCP Goals by 15th April 2018.
  3. Club must get at least 3 members trained as Judges and 1 as Chief Judge between 1st July
    2017 to 28th Feb 2018.
  4. Club must have at least 20 paid members by 1st April 2018.
  5. Club must have at least one Triple Crown Award Winner by 31st March 2018.
  1. Together we achieve more:
    Member achieving any educational award: 10 points per member per award. CL credit to club is given only once.
  2. Membership Retention in each cycle:
    • Less than 50% retention – 0 points
    • 50% – 60% retention – 10 points
    • 60% – 70% retention – 12 points
    • 70% -80% retention – 15 points
    • Above 80% retention – 20 points
  3. Sponsor, Mentor or Coach
    • Sponsor and Mentor a new club: Sponsor – 20 points, Mentor – 40 points
    • Coach who helps a struggling club to become Distinguished – 50 points
  4. New/Dual/Reinstated Membership payments (per member):
    • 1st July 2017 to 30th September 2017 – 15 points
    • 1st Oct 2017 to 31st March 2018- 10 points
    • 1st April 2018 to 15th April 2018 – 5 points
  5. Club Officers training in each (July & Jan) cycle:
    • 7 officers – 70 points
    • 6 officers – 50 points
    • 5 officers – 30 points
    • 4 officers – 20 points
  6. Achieving Membership Building Awards
    • Smedley Award (Aug 1 – Sep 30) – 20 points
    • Talk up Toastmasters (Feb 1 – Mar 31) – 20 points
  7. Attendance at District Conferences 
    5 points for each member in attendance.
  8. PR Awards – Social media presence/newsletter/website
    • 25 points to the Winner
    • 10 points to clubs participating and meeting qualifying criteria.

Rising Star Club Award

Clubs which
  1. add 8 new/dual/reinstated members from 1st July ‘17 to 5th September ’17.
  2. has all 7 Officers trained in First cycle of Club Officers Training Program (COTP) and reports updated by 31st August ’17.

Speedy Stupendous Seven

Clubs that achieve 7 DCP Goals by 31st Dec 2017.

Distinguished Ahead of Time Award

Clubs that become Distinguished or better by 31st Mar 2018.

Young Achiever's Award

Clubs chartered on or after 1 July 2017 that become Distinguished or better.
