The 41st meeting of Delhi Toastmasters, New Delhi, was yet another iconic meeting. The club witnessed passing of the baton of DTM’s excellence from the outgoing EC into the able hands of the incoming EC.
The pretty eventful and fun-loaded meeting was convened by outgoing Secretary and TMOD Shreya with her apt theme-of-the-day “For men may come and men may go, but I’ll go on forever”. There were some engrossing speeches followed by an innovative and gripping table-topics session conducted by the outgoing President Vaibhav Jaisingh.
Then was the time for exchanging of gratitude and acknowledgements by the outgoing EC. The “Vote of Thanks” was initiated by outgoing president followed by the other outgoing EC members. This was a rather heart-warming segment where the Vote of Thanks was translated into meaningful and effort-put gifts by the outgoing EC to express their gratitude to their teams and the club.
The conclusion of Vote of Thanks marked the beginning of the Installation of the new EC team of DTM. To facilitate this event, the Division Director Prashant took the stage and one-by- one led the oath-taking ceremony for each EC member. Thus, the new EC of DTM stood installed to take on the charge.
Followed by the Installation Ceremony, SVP DTM Deepak Menon graced the stage and imbued in the audience motivation to strive for becoming the best leader and toastmaster.
After the last segment of evaluations, the outgoing VP-ED Kreeti took the stage to give-away awards to DTMite and Super-DTMite of the month and to the best mentor-mentee of the club. With all that applause and cheers, this special meeting finally ended with the cutting of cake to bid adieu to the outgoing EC. This happening and enriching meeting finally concluded with all the happy, cake-smeared faces in the frame of groupfie.
