17 Years and growing
This journey has not only honed my public speaking skills but also shaped my perspective on leadership and team work. That’s why, 17years later, I’m still here—growing, learning, and giving back.
For 17 years, Toastmasters has been a cornerstone of my personal and professional growth. What began as a desire to improve my public speaking quickly turned into a lifelong journey of leadership, confidence, and connection. Over the years, I’ve met incredible people who’ve become mentors, friends, and sources of inspiration.
One of my most memorable experiences was competing in the evaluation contest, where I reached the district finals. Though I didn’t win, the process itself was fun, exciting, and full of learning moments. It was a thrilling challenge that pushed me out of my comfort zone, and the feedback from fellow members was invaluable. Experiences as these have kept me from coming back knowing each meeting offers the chance to learn something new.
As Toastmasters celebrates 100 years of helping individuals hone their communication and leadership abilities, I’m proud to be part of this enduring legacy. The joy of helping others find their voice is just as rewarding as finding my own. This journey has not only honed my public speaking skills but also shaped my perspective on leadership and team work. That’s why, 17 years later, I’m still here—growing, learning, and giving back.
