Success Mantras

If you don’t fight for what you want, don’t cry for what you lost.

As they say, success has multiple dimensions. It is not the result of a single factor. Success is not a coincidence; it is the result of a blend of goal, belief, and consistency.

1. Goal: People with goals are 10 times more successful than those without goals, and people with written goals are 30 times more successful than those without goals. My father always emotionally urged me to pursue a PhD, saying, “Enroll in the program by this year.” He repeated this continuously for the past 10 years, similarly forcing me to set a target every year. Finally, I got enrolled, not only because of the circle on the calendar but most importantly, because the goal I had set successfully pushed me to take action.

This proved that once we set a target, we are continually motivated and pushed by the goal to buckle up and achieve it.

2. Belief: “We Can Do It if We Believe We Can!” Belief helps us build confidence. This confidence drives us to put our best foot forward and inspires us to go the extra mile. As I believed I could lead and handle a team, I stepped up for an Area Director role in the Toastmasters fraternity. My confidence and belief in myself helped me cross my comfort zone. As a result, I can now stretch my boundaries and raise my hand for new challenges.

3. Consistency: Despite having good positions, jobs, and magnificent degrees, I remain hungry to learn speaking techniques and leadership strategies. Hence, I joined Toastmasters in 2017, and with consistent effort, I’ve progressed through most of the leadership roles in the Club and now in the Area too.

For my leadership and communication journey, these three milestones became artists, chiseling away the excess to reveal a beautiful sculpture within me. Most importantly, I am becoming a better version of myself. Now I can prove that if we make continuous efforts, consistent work, belief, and goals lead to success. These are indeed the Success Mantra.

If you wish for something from the core of your heart, then the whole universe is bound to help you achieve it. A blending of goal, belief, and consistency in the path, and if we can balance these three things, we can truly say, “Never say Never.”

There’s no secret to success.

Have you ever known a successful man who didn’t tell you the secret behind his success?”
