District 41 Toastmasters

Nimit Mittal

Club Officers Training always teaches you something, whether you are a trainee, a trainer, or an organizer. Div GHI TLI on July 20 in Gurgaon was no different. As a trainer, it was not only exciting and refreshing to interact with new club officers, knowing their challenges and concerns, but also insightful as the batch came together, learned together, shared creative ideas, and brainstormed solutions to practical problems. It was also heartening to see the confidence they carried within themselves as they walked out of the training room, committed towards success, of their own but also of their respective clubs and beyond.

My experience at the TLI as a trainer for VP-PR was amazing. This was my first time being a trainer and I could not have found a better chance. There was support from the organizers to let me take the role, the preparations were in place, and the club officers came with great enthusiasm. The training time flew fast with so much to learn from all VP-PRs. I learned how it felt to be on the trainer’s side and was delighted to get appreciative feedback.

Although I had the opportunity to be the Trainer for the Secretary, it was truly a wonderful experience to organize the event, collaborate with the team, and learn many new things. Networking was one of the key benefits I experienced.

It was a great platform where we could interact with other clubs. I get to know about the Toastmasters in a much better way and how it is bringing out the leadership qualities in members. Discussions with fellow Toastmasters were the best part for me.

Jaspreet Kaur Taneja

This was my first time attending a physical TLI, and the experience was even greater than expected. My trainer was Bhudev Prakash, he explained everything in great detail and answered all my queries very patiently. Overall, the entire TLI offered more than learning and training. I was able to network and meet other club members.

Amit Kumar

It was indeed my first experience attending TLI offline. It was a great opportunity for me to learn from the experts. What I liked about the program is that it gave us the opportunity to network with all the members present there. In my life, I had never initiated to interact but in this session, I gathered courage and interacted with most people present there. Finally, I am excited to attend the next offline TLI in next term.

I enhanced my skills in public speaking, leadership, and team management. This experience boosted my confidence and provided new strategies to effectively train others, significantly impacting my personal and professional growth.

Kisu Rawal

The TLI session was informative and helpful in clarifying role expectations and responsibilities. While I found the content valuable, the session could have benefited from additional time for discussion to delve deeper into the roles. I believe an additional 30 minutes dedicated to discussions and clarifying responsibilities would significantly enhance the effectiveness of the session. This extra time could allow for a more thorough exploration of our duties, enabling us to perform our roles more confidently and efficiently. Overall, it was an enriching experience, and I’m eager to apply the learnings.

TLI-1 which I attended on 20th July, 2024 at Sanskriti International School. I was geared up for taking a new role in the Executive Committee for tenure July – December 2024. The aura of all Fellow Toastmasters was so positive that encouraged me to look forward to a new role i.e. Vice President Public Relations at Rato Bangala Toastmasters club.

It was one of my best learning experiences. It’s my seventh year in Toastmasters, I believe my learning is still continuing in Toastmasters. During the TLI session, I learnt what my actual role is and that has motivated me to learn more. I was inspired by our Trainer. I am very proud to be a part of the ever growing Toastmasters family in Nepal. It has allowed me to become a better person.

We learn the best in an environment of Edutainment. And it was indeed an event with lots of entertainment, camaraderie, learnings and food. From young Gaveliers to decade old veterans coming from Dehradun, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Mohali etc towns made the day a memorable one. Bonds of fellowship made this day while breaking bread together will now last much longer in this region. I am taking away some new friendships and solemn promises to meet again soon enough.

UTKARSH SHARMA

It was my first experience as a trainer. TM as a platform gives us several opportunity to flourish and grow and this was one of them for me. It instilled tremendous amount of confidence in me as I learnt that I have so much untapped potential to unearth. The networking opportunity one gets is truly a cherry on the cake.

Grishma Shrestha

Being a VPPR trainer, it felt like going back to the basics, refurnishing with ABCDs of TI branding and being empowered. I was thrilled to see enthusiam, knowledge and energy of all the VPPRs and I feel they are equally empowered to develop TI brand compliant PR products.

Rumit Shrestha

This year TLI was something new for me because this time i was not a Trainee but instead an trainer. My preparation started pretty early as I was meeting SAA from different clubs, reading SAA Manuals and roles and everything that had SAA written in it.
I was really scared before the training but when i saw all the new coming SAA and their energy, the training went like an free flowing water. I personally had an wonderful time with such good interactive audiences. I definitely learned soo much from them and i hope it goes both ways.

Saheel Baral

The session by TM Grishma effectively emphasized the importance of brand adherence with guidelines set by Toastmasters International. Additionally, we were given key learning points on how to communicate your club’s message on social media and relevant platforms.

To add cherry on top, we engaged in presentations in groups too, which aided my personal goal of networking with members from other clubs.

I was glad I attended and would recommend club officers for the same in the future.

“People who might have gone for the offline TLI, this was their first time and they enjoyed it a lot. But for me, it was the third time today. Now imagine for a moment you attend the same training again and again and again, wouldn’t it get boring… Here’s a fun fact, it doesn’t! I joined the training and it was as if I was attending it for the very first time. The best part is that every trainer brings a new perspective and there is always a fresh and new scope of learning. I remember even listening to my vice chancellor today giving a speech and he mentioned a fact, no matter how much you think you’ve acquired knowledge in some topic, you haven’t even completed it 1%. It’s all about how much more you can do, how much better you can do, compared to your previous self.”
